Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from within the app. When upgrading, you'll be charged the prorated difference. When downgrading, credit will be applied to your next billing cycle.
What does the free plan actually include?
Everything except the model. You install a local model server such as Ollama, point Aera at it in Settings > Models, and the agent runs on that. There is no Aera-hosted model on the free plan, so if you would rather not run a model yourself, Pro is the plan where we host it for you.
Do I need an account?
Yes, on every plan. The download needs no account, but the agent will not run until you sign in, including on the free plan.
What is different about a local model in practice?
Two things. Aera reads pages as text rather than looking at screenshots, so an unusual layout can defeat it where a hosted model would cope. And the speed and quality are whatever your own model and machine give you.
How do I cancel?
You can cancel anytime from your account settings. You'll continue to have access until the end of your billing period.
